Westwind Media

Westwind Media produced the Cyber Media Show, an online talk radio show broadcast over the NPR satellite. At the time, streaming media was relatively new and this onine marketing “how-to” show was hosted by a well-known author and outspoken personality, Kim Bayne.

My role for projects below included: concept, design, illustration, production and printing specs & management. Both the identity and the direct mail promotion received Gold awards from the Art Directors Club of Denver.

My goal was to bring this feminine brand to life by blending the medium and personality of the host. I chose a simple two-color design to emphasize Kim’s mouth and an online volume control slider — this epitomized her identity.

Cyber Media Show Direct Mail Campaign

Direct Mail Promotion

Upon receiving a six-page Word document from the client, along with the knowledge that they purchased a satellite clock promotional item, I was commissioned to create the direct mail promotion to complement the identity. The campaign included a brochure, poster, packaging, promotional item and CD with sample program. Aside from being mailed to radio stations, it was used as a sales kit, delivered in person.
